This ensemble is the feeling of a summer day and the smell of lightly sweet vanilla perfume. This dress embodies the calm whimsy of the 1950s, that feminine touch and softness. This dress speaks of the 1950s girl next door who had ambitions of becoming an artist.  She couldn't contain the artistic vision (the ladder appliques speak for such creativity). The slub faille texture is equally as endearing creating a type of shine to the fabric. Side features zipper and hook clasp at waist. Bolero jacket is open and showcases that ladder applique. A unique, unlabeled and perhaps one-of-a-kind piece! Great vintage condition with no flaws apart from a light yellow stain on right middle skirt and upper right waist. Approximate US size 4.
